Permanent Secretary for Health James Fong said out of the new cases, 63 are from the Western Division, 66 from the Central Division of Viti Levu and two from Kadavu.
There have been 104 new recoveries since the last update, which means that there are now 12,951 active cases.
Fong said there have been 49,174 cases during the current wave of outbreak that started in April this year.
A total of around 49,244 cases have been recorded in Fiji since the first case was reported in March 2020, with 35,388 recoveries.
There have now been 539 deaths due to COVID-19 in Fiji, with 537 of these deaths recorded during the outbreak that started in April this year, according to Fong.
Currently 110 COVID-19 patients are in hospital, with eight in severe condition, and three in critical condition.
