SYDNEY -- Australian national airline Qantas has announced the purchase of a majority stake in the Australian-owned online holiday and travel business, TripADeal, as it attempts to seize on the rebound of leisure travel after the pandemic.
The national airline announced on Tuesday the purchase of a 51 percent stake in the fast-growing online travel business; the deal included the option for a total buyout from Qantas. (Australia-National Airline)

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka's state-owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has once again increased its fuel prices from Tuesday morning as the fuel shortage continues in the country.

SEOUL -- Inflation expectations among South Korean consumers rose to the highest in almost 10 years this month on higher global commodity prices, central bank data showed Tuesday.
Inflation expectations, which gauge outlook among consumers over headline inflation for the next 12 months, stood at 3.3 percent in May, up by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK). (South Korea-Inflation Expectations)

SUVA -- Fiji has recorded 57 new COVID-19 cases in recent days, bringing the total number of COVID-19 infections in the South Pacific island country to more than 64,000.
According to the Fijivillage news website on Tuesday, Fiji's Health Ministry confirmed that of the 57 new COVID-19 cases recorded since last Friday, 20 cases were reported in the central part of the country, 33 in the western part and four in the northern part. (Fiji-COVID-19)
