SUVA, 15th September, 2022 (WAM) -- Rashed Matar Alsiri Al Qemzi presented his credentials to the President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, as Non-Resident Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Fiji at the presidential headquarters in the capital, Suva.
During the meeting, Al Qemzi conveyed to President Katonivere the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their sincere wishes to the President and people of Fiji for further development and prosperity.
In turn, President Katonivere reciprocated these wishes to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, wishing the UAE Government and people further growth and development.
He wished the ambassador success during his tenure and in efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields that link the two countries, underscoring his country's readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his work.
Moreover, praised the progress achieved by the UAE in recent years in all fields due to the country's leadership and people, commending the depth of bilateral relations and bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples.
For his part, Al Qemzi expressed his pride in representing the UAE in the Republic of Fiji and his keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed ways to boost cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Fiji to achieve the interests and aspirations of the two countries and peoples.
