ABU DHABI, 18th November, 2022 (WAM) -- Her Majesty Queen Nanasipauu of the Kingdom of Tonga, visited the Zayed Higher Foundation for People of Determination as part of her current country visit programme to learn about the Foundation's experience in the field of care and rehabilitation for various groups of people of determination.

Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Head of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by Abdullah Abdul Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Foundation, held a reception to Queen Nanasipauu.

Her Majesty toured the Foundation accompanied by Dr. Mugheer Al-Khaili, the Secretary-General and the leaders of the Foundation, where Her Majesty was briefed on a set of interrelated provided services that aim to prepare and qualify people of determination to integrate into society.

Queen Nanasipauu expressed her admiration of the services of the Foundation and said that they were integrated and comprehensive services, stressing that she was very pleased to visit the Foundation, have her introductory tour, meet students and educational cadres, and see the efforts made by all workers to provide care and rehabilitation for categories of people of determination, noting that this shows the great interest of the United Arab Emirates in providing all services, whether health or rehabilitation for these groups.

Her Majesty stressed that the Zayed Higher Foundation for People of Determination, with its services and equipment at the highest level of development, matches the best international centres, and expressed her thanks to the officials of the Foundation for the good reception and accompanying her on the tour.

She added that this communication between the Foundation and institutions in her country must be invested to exchange experiences between the two sides and transfer Zayed's advanced experiences and expertise in this field to the Kingdom of Tonga to benefit from them.

Abdullah Al-Humaidan welcomed Her Majesty the Queen and the accompanying delegation, stressing that the Foundation is proud to provide this service to groups dear to all of us, in light of the great support it receives from the wise leadership and the follow-up and supervision of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO).

Her Majesty the Queen was accompanied by Susan Akau'ola, wife of the Tonga Ambassador to the UAE; Kathleen Nina Tupou, Deputy Secretary from the Palace Office; and Eunji Lee, Assistant Secretary of Tonga, Protocol Officer.
